Helium SEO seeks a consultative Sales Manager with energy, passion, leadership, and initiative to build and expand our business. As the representative of a national, award-winning marketing agency, the ideal candidate will help launch Helium’s market presence through consultative sales and business development.


The Sales Manager can work remotely or in our Cincinnati HQ. Our Cincinnati team operates a hybrid schedule with Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the office. We are currently accepting candidates who reside in Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, Indiana, Michigan, Florida, Colorado, Utah, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Maine.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a sales team to hit individual and team sales goals
  • Optimize the team's prospecting system to consistently generate 6 qualified discovery calls (DCs) per sales representative weekly
    • Leverage Koncert for strategic cold calling initiatives
  • Responsible for hiring, training, reviewing, and developing sales team members
  • Conduct weekly 1:1 meetings with Account Executives and team-wide sales meetings
  • Assist new Account Executives with discovery calls as needed
  • Track sales team progress in HubSpot; responsible for reporting weekly pipeline and activity to the Leadership team 
  • Assist Leadership with strategic planning and expansion of the sales organization
  • Proactively identify, research, and respond to relevant Request for Proposals (RFPs) that align with the company's products or services
  • Sell and deliver $6,200 in new monthly recurring revenue (MRR) individually


Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in consultative sales, particularly with mid-sized businesses
  • 2+ years of sales leadership experience
  • 5+ years of cold calling experience
  • Strong accountability and "bulldog" mentality in managing sales performance
  • Ability to travel up to 15% for trade shows, in-person proposals, networking events, and on-site training at our Cincinnati office
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Digital Marketing experience, able to walk through SEO and SEM offerings (Preferred)
  • Experienced in utilizing HubSpot (Preferred)
  • Experience managing a remote team (Preferred)
  • Skilled at identifying and winning RFPs (Preferred)
